Day Charter Snorkeling Beaches Guests Give Five Stars to Visit!
Snorkeling is a favored activity on the island of St Thomas, and once you’ve seen the stunning sandy beaches and beautiful clear waters for yourself, you’ll soon understand why! There are many great spots to enjoy for a spot of snorkeling in this island paradise, but these five are the ones we love the most – and the ones our day charter snorkeling guests also give five stars to!
Magen’s Bay
Perhaps the most popular beach on the island, Magen’s Bay has lots to recommend it, and features prominently in our own Sabrage Charters journeys. The water here is crystal clear, making it a great spot for seeing what lies beneath the water during your snorkeling trip! When you’re not underwater, you can relax on the beach, enjoy dining at a local restaurant or go for a swim. Crowds here can get a little overwhelming during busy times, but further away from the main hub of activity, you’re sure to find a more peaceful way to snorkel.
Secret Harbour
A petite beach situated in a quiet area of St Thomas, Secret Harbour has developed a strong following amongst snorkelers, and also provides opportunities for beachside dining and drinks at the beach bar when you’ve finished your underwater adventure. There is a floating raft in the centre of the bay, which is great for catching some sun – it’s also a fantastic way to leap into the clear waters which Secret Harbour is famous for.
Lindquist Beach
Situated within 21 acres of protected bay, Lindquist Beach offers turquoise waters and the chance to see everything from fish to turtles during your day charter snorkeling trip. There is a coconut grove at one side of the beach, and shady grape trees on the other. The sand is soft and welcoming enough to encourage sunbathing, summer strolls and beach games when you’ve finished hung up your flippers for the day.
Sapphire Beach
Known for its plentiful water sports options including jet-skiing and parasailing, Sapphire Beach has also proven popular with snorkelers, thanks to a rocky ledge and reef which can be accessed on the right side of the beach. Nearby you will find a resort and marina, perfect for exploring once you’re back on dry land.
Coki Point
Small in size but packed with great scenery, the calm waters of Coki Point are perfect for snorkeling, and attract plenty of visitors with this aim in mind. When you’re not seeking out aquatic life, you can simply relax and unwind in this beautiful part of the Caribbean.
